Burning info:
The pots are already pre-seasoned and can be used immediately. If re-burning is required: Clean with hot water and then rub with a baking oil (for example Dopfheld), a baking paste (such as Dopfwunder) or alternatively coconut oil. Then place upside down in the fire or in a kettle barbecue, where the desired temperature of approx. 200°C can be reached and leave in the hot kettle grill for an hour. Simply rub the remaining fat in the pots. And you're done! This treatment can be carried out now and then so that the pores fill and the pans are optimally protected from rust.
Cleaning / care information:
Hot water is enough to clean. Food leftovers and burnt food can be easily removed with a stainless steel ring cleaner without destroying the patina. Never use soap or harsh detergents as it destroys the grease layer and then needs to be re-burned. In cast iron pots, no food leftovers should be picked up. After use, ash should be removed immediately from the lid and pot, otherwise in combination with moisture rust formation will be favoured.
Storage information:
Grease the pots with BBQ-Toro Dopfwunder care paste, Dopfheld care oil or coconut oil, place a sheet of kitchen paper inside and do not close the lid completely. So they can survive longer storage times.
